The ext4 recovery software failed to recovery the one .bin bios file I needed it too. It felt I was led to believe this software would recover more things if purchased, from using the trial.Oh well I suppose. I could care less about recovering mp3s or gifs.
It\'s a very interesting product in récupiration lost data so it\'s easy to use, unfortunately it has a limit use on probation.

Linux Recovery took 6hrs to scan a 750GB HDD (which had a partition formatted by an errant D-Link DNS-323 which formatted the wrong HDD.. a long unfixed firmware bug). It found 1000's of files, and then took a very long time to recover a few small JPG/png files only.Diskinternals Linux Recovery is close to useless.Give this one a miss.
Your software does not work properly I used your software. But it can't recover anything.simply showing folder name and file name. byts are 0 showing.
Recovering only pictures Hi,I downloaded this util in the hope to recover my data. Unfortunally this program can only recover pictures! I was hoping for recovering all data with no exceptions. If it can do that then is worth for paying some amount for it.With kind Regards,R. Kwakman
recovery of 700GB I used your product to recover 700GB of a EXT partition that was formated by mistake. After spending 8 hours on the scan, I tried to recover the data to a network share.disk internals crashed. It would be nice to have a feature to save the scan information as I now have to wait another 8 hours for the scan to complete.
Demo version 1 - had problems downloading the software2 - eventually downloaded and successfully installed3 - demo version did not help my problem, I accidentally removed partition on my hard drive, software was not able to recover or indicate possible recoveryVK.
not ideal did not recognize the folders and recuperated only a few types of files, which were useless!

Many thanks to make us available this fantastic tool for free. I used this after an unbrick procedure for a ST3500320AS Seagate hard disk (SD15 firmware fails and disk become inaccessible, unbrick procedure is described elsewhere) . Partitions were EXT3 formatted and I could access all the data and make backup from my desktop XP sp3 PC.The tool is clear, transparent interface and really high speed recovering files and directories.I recommend this tool. Thanks Ni
My NAS suddenly wouldn\'t allow the drives to be accessed. When I attemped to administer the NAS it wanted to \"FORMAT\" the drives ... no way.I removed the HDDs and placed them in a USB cradle and they registed, phew. But, they weren\'t Windows format ...This software allowed the Linux Native volume\'s to be read from a Win XP environment. The process of \"copying\" (it may be doing more for recovery) the files out is labourious (almost 2TB across both drives), but at least I am able to do so.
I was able to download the Linux Reader in order to snag some files off of a non working linux partition. I had run an update and temporarily lost the use of my Linux OS. I needed some files in a pinch. I\'ve save many Windows partitions with live Linux tools. This time it was the other way around.
Seems like a good product, it does what it is suppose to do. I believe that linux has far better support for reading differnt partion types.
Wonderful utility, it let me recover my files from a failed ext2 drive using Windows, and it managed to recover everything when a $40 program wouldn't.
Hi, very effective application. I ,ve eached my ext3 linux volumes just like 1 click. Thanks

Hello,The only thing that I wish to say is that it should work with extfs3 and the upcoming extfs4 it looks like extfs2 is being left behind and this is too cool of a program for it to be left behind as well. In summary you need it to handle bigger inode sizes for installs of Ubuntu that use extfs3 and installs of Fedora that will use extfs4.thanks,
Vista ready I haven't used it, it didn't worked in Vista 32bit.
Ext2FS usable or not? Hello,i used ext2fs to try to make a usb start-up with ntfs support-ntfs support succeeded, no problem at all!.Startup (bootup) failed, still trying to find out why there is a cooment on startup that there is no media to boot !Could be me or could be ext2fs, do not know yet.Fred Fledderus
Excellent Excelent software product. I think that it's very useful, because many people use both OS - Windows & Linux.
Trial of Ext2FS I tried this program quite a long time ago and I seem to like it.However, I do like the idea that Windows Explorer itself or opening My Computer allowing me to view Linux Filesystems.I would usually copy/move/delete programs in my Linux Volumes using this program.
Mount Linux partitions under Windows Vista Mounting Linux partitions under Windows Vista does not work properly.Disk (mounted linux partition) is shown but not accessible.Windows asked me to perform partitioning of the mounted disk(?).Linux: RH Fedora 8 (the ext3 partition is recognized by Ext2FS as RAW ?)Currently there is only one to me known tool that can read ext3 partitions out from windows: explore2fs-1.08beta9. But it has some bugs.

The unregistered version did locate and list all my lost files. However, I was never able to register the product, so I could not save any data.Repeated attempts to reach tech support (email, phone and live chat) failed. I gave up and used another program. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
I feel very satisfied with the simple interface, and I have been able to recover precious data from a damaged Linux partition.
It does not recover nothing... ... and sees no deleted folder
Does what it says on the box Very easy to use, just remember to start it up as a root user and it runs very quickly and smoothly.Even though other search results on the internet say you can't recover deleted EXT3 files this program recovered over 60 GIG of files for me that a malicious hacker deleted from my hard drive. If your a novice you may have difficulty in setting yourself up as a root user, especially in Ubuntu
program freezes I have a hard disk problem and used Knoppix to boot the machine. Unfortunately, none of ther usual Linux tools seem to fix the problem. So, I downloaded andinstalled your program to see what it could do; but it just froze when I started it on my laptop, i.e. I could not make any selections in the menu or press anyof the bottoms. I would lıke to try and recover my data before I reformat the disk. Do you have any advice? Thanks!Christian
